February 4, 1898 – Jan 2, 1990

Grampa Waldron is my hero. He is the person I have always wanted to be like.
Everyone who knew my Grampa loved him. Nothing was more important to him than his family.
He was a hard worker. And he taught his family to work hard. He also knew how to have fun. That is what I remember the most about him. He was fun!! My Grampa was 61 years old when I was born but I remember playing No Bears Are Out Tonight and other games with my cousins and he was right in the middle of us.
I remember alot of family reunions where he was out there playing softball with us.
All of our family loved his tall tales. We could sit around him for hours as he told us about hunting bears and other fun stories. My favorite was about a bear that he chased around and around a tree untill he finally bent his gun around his knee and shot up in the tree. He heard the bullet go around the tree several times before it got the bear. We loved his stories!!
This picture of my Grampa getting hugged by the bear reminds me of his stories.
This bear was a pet of one of his nieces husbands. He wanted a picture of my Grampa with this bear.

Thanks Grampa for being such a good example and a great roll model for all of your family and posterity.
I love you and I miss you!!
Hugs and Kisses
Diane

We always felt that our parents worked to make a better life for all of their children. They had three goals when they were first married. The first was to have all their children married in the temple. The second was to have all of their children graduate from college. The third was to have all their son’s serve a mission. They accomplished all of these goals . They started with nothing. Shoveled out an old log cabin horse barn for their first home that they owned and worked hard all their lives making a better life for their children. This picture is a daily reminder for all of us children of the blessings that our parents were to us. They were wonderful parents and are an inspiration to us all. We are reminded of the great sacrifices that our parents made for us and this beautiful piece of art helps us each day to remember to try and be the type of individuals that our parents raised us to be.

The picture is of my mother-in-law getting on a train, all dressed up in the fashion of the year, 1943. She is 22 years old and Dad had just graduated from The University of Utah as a civil engineer and had accepted a job in Columbus Ohio with Curtis Wright. It was in the middle of WWII and Curtis-Wright built navy planes. They were getting on the train to leave Utah and start their first great adventure together. They left Utah with a big trunk and a sewing machine. 68 years later as mother looks at the picture she can still give you complete details of the trip. Who they met along the way. The first hotel where they stayed while looking for an apartment. As she looked at the picture you could see the memories flowing through her eyes.

Framed Legacy to me is emotion and passion. I haven’t attended a meeting or a party that has not been filled with “love and passion” and somehow the “The Turning of Hearts”. You can’t listen to the stories of the pictures without laughing, crying, or feeling the pride right along with those who are actually involved in the pictures themselves. It doesn’t even matter if you know the people or not. The emotion of those moments are there and you are a part of it. What a fantastic company to be involved with! It is one “FEEL GOOD” moment after another. It doesn’t end with a party and the orders for the pictures. Everyone that attends a party goes home and starts looking at their pictures and snapshots in a whole new way. All of a sudden it is important to get them out and surround yourself with all the memories and stories, happy, sad, funny, or just life, that have brought you to where and who you are right now. Whether it is a distant relative or your spouse, your parents, your children, your friends. They are all an intricate part of who you are, and “life is good”. It is great to know that you can build a company on such values and experiences.

My husband was so excited to give his dad the picture that he couldn’t wait until Father’s Day and presented it to him more than a month early. When his dad opened the picture and saw his own father just as he remembered him, he started crying. He was so excited about the picture that he then drove around with my husband and the picture to show it to his brothers who live nearby.

My husband’s grandfather passed away almost 15 years ago. I was never blessed to meet him, but have heard hundreds of stories about him. We ordered a second copy of the picture for our own home and now my husband can share stories of his grandpa with our three children. Four generations have been linked together through one piece of art: my children, my husband, my father-in-law, and the great-grandfather who started it all! I know that this treasured photograph will be around to link our future generations to their legacy as well.”

I wanted these pictures to remind me and my family of who my father was and to be more like him. My youngest daughter doesn’t know who her Grandpa is and by having these pictures done they way they are bring out emotion and “turn our hearts” to our loved ones and in doing so we want to ask questions and hear the stories behind the pictures.

What an amazing experience to follow someone who really believes. I have this great picture of my mother ice skating on the Snake River the winter of 1937. That was during the Great Depression. It reminds me of her telling me to get up, get out of bed, get going, and have some fun no matter the weather or economic situation. However, I would not have framed this memory if Dale Wilson had not invited me to hear his dream. He introduced me to his partner Brett Hatfield and together they described the link between memories, the good people in your life, and the opportunity to pass their legacy to the next generation or being responsible for letting the legacy fade. I am now more determined than ever to solidify my mothers great legacy into the hearts of my children and grandchildren. I am framing the memories, enjoying the images, and sharing the stories. Her lessons will now live on.

It was 26 years ago this picture was taken by a simple camera! We were poor and young, but rich in love and felt we had the world in our hands. It was an overcast day, so the sky wasn’t very beautiful. We were at the top of a hill on the temple grounds of Logan, Utah. Brett had lifted his bride Marci for a fun picture. It was then that a gust of wind blew and filled the hoop wedding skirt with air that blew the dress over Brett’s and Marci’s heads. It was a fight to try and keep that wind filled skirt down. This picture was taken shortly after. The happiness and laughter that is shown is the joy and love that continues this day. This picture from a small snapshot is now a memorable gift for our children and their children yet to come thanks to Framed Legacy.
He was/is my hero, my best friend, and the man whom I try each and every day to imitate. One of the things that set my father apart from so many others was the stories he would tell of his life’s experiences. For example, he had twelve children who were prone to complaining, and when we would complain he loved to tell us that he remembered Twin Falls (where he grew up) before there were cars or paved roads, and that he did not have the wonderful experience of indoor plumbing until he was in his early 20′s. One of his best stories was told nearly every time we visited the Sun Valley resort or Red Fish Lake. You see, it was between those two places that my Dad and two of his friend decided that they would start their own resort. It would be called Swiss Town, ID, and it would be patterned after the swiss villages at the base of the Alps. Over the next few years they built and sold Alpine style homes and created a community, however the government decided the land should be preserved rather than built on. Before they could begin the second stage they were forced to give the land back in trade for much less desirable land on the East side of Sun Valley. Funds had run out and the project was scrapped. When I was a kid my father would always point out some of that houses that had been moved to other areas and say there is one of our alpine homes. There are still a few up in the area that I have since pointed out to my wife and son. I cherish the legacy that my father left with us and his vision and dreams, and how he worked to turn those visions and dreams into reality.
